Strategy with Uniform Raises and Implied Poker Odds

For sure, there will be sharp players in most poker tables we'll be playing at. But when playing online, especially tournaments, we can always be among sharp players that hunt for weak players online. This is if we known killer strategies like uniform raises and implied poker odds.

Uniform raises effectively camouflage our hand strength so that opponents will hardly get a good read on our hand and play. What we do is bet the same amount of raise no matter what our hand is. If this is our basic strategy coupled with implied poker odds we render opponents confused about what we have and win more money.

When opponents cannot figure out what hand we hold they are completely off balance and end up always guessing wrong. We raise the same amount regardless of the hand we have so that opponents cannot label us being strong or weak. Then we are able to play even weak hands like suited connectors - because of what they call implied poker odds.

Implied poker odds are odds that we derive from the hand's potential to be playable later in the game, especially if a helpful flop comes along. So the odds these cards give us are implied, meaning not actual or direct but they have the strong possibility of occurring, basing on certain play conditions. So we play suited connectors, for instance, implying that they may turn out strong later.

Notwithstanding holding mere suited connectors, we bet substantially - as we have done during the times we had strong hands - so that opponents would not know what we hold. Then when we hit the chance to complete a straight draw we go all-in and rake in the opponent's stack. Our implied poker odds worked.

Implied poker odds are especially effective with online poker due to the tendency of most online players to assume a loose aggressive stance. When we place a substantial bet we are likely to get much action at the table because players are apt to pursue our bet with calls and re-raises. We limp in to let the bets come in and build a big pot. When our draw comes we win a nice sizable pot.

Thus, when we combine the effects of uniform bets or raises and implied poker odds when playing online we get better chances especially if we hold not so strong or playable hands. We simply limp in to build a pot and get opponents to fold.
